Fashion News Spring/Summer 2011
Spring /Summer hair is very much going to follow
the 70s style not just for hair but also for make
up and fashion, there will be lots of big hair ,
big colours , and big shoes read on to find out whats
going to be hot this spring /summer.
Hair:
Short hair.....
Shorter hair being very much in this season, if your
thinking of going for a bob then keep it one length,
sharp, with a straight fringe heavy if you can
, also keep the colour nice and bold either a nice
ice blonde or a red brunette.
If you really want to rock it up then go for the
asymmetric cut , keeping your fringe heavier , shorter
at the back and one side fairly short over the ear
if you can, keeping the colour bold is good but to
really stand out add a splash of colour to the fringe
area nice vibrant colours Elumen colours are very
bright and last longer than most crazy colours.
Also for the short choppy look all over mess it up
with lots of products and to add more texture have
either blonde or brown lights combed through or finger
painted on.
Long Hair.......
The elements of curls is certainly making a come
back , with many women having perms are they following
a fashion or just bored of straightening there
hair? we have found that they are getting bored
of the straight look so be ready to dust off them
perm rods and soak up them end papers!. Whether
you go for the tighter perm or looser one it will
certainly have heads turning
.
Sweeping fringes still making long hair look sexy
with longer layers with added high lights or low
lights giving the hair texture, movement and height.
For the rock chick in you go for a more heavier straight
or curved fringe , shorter layers on top with the
hair gradually getting longer , wearing it natually
curly or straightening it.
Fringes.....
For an instant new look having a fringe changes your
look going from Emma Buntons soft full fringe to
Rihannas heavy fringe to Emma Watsons short pixy
fringe its up to you just make sure it goes with
your look , having a fringe also opens up your facial
features.
Colours......
Ladies still liking the blonde look, with the likes
of Katie Price and Holly Willoughby showing there
gorgeous locks on t.v its all still very much in
going for the golden colours and some very striking
icy white colours is all hitting the streets. Auburns
and browns strutting it down runways with the likes
of Gucci,Alexander McQueen and Chanel using these
colours to show off there seasons clothes. But the
most striking of all colours this year has to be
Rihannas red hair it being not just a flash but an
all over colour combine that with an asymmetric hair
cut and you will stand out!.
Mens Hair.......
As with any hairstyle always look to see first whether
it suits your lifestyle and work especially for men,
Taylor Lautner from Twilight sports a great short
choppy look with the advantage of having it looking
neat when he wears a suit and when he is out and
about he can mess it up and give it some texture
with wax. Also hitting the streets is the very modest
look of a heavy fringe swept over to the side with
it shorter on the sides and back.
Beauty......
Meet your new season face !, High impact make-up
fans look no further with an explosion of vibrant
violets that have rocked the spring catwalk, the
transitions have been made from the winter berry
and wine hues.
These violets are swept right across the lids and
blended with brighter colours washed at the corners
and outer edges , this brings back the 70s trends.
L'Oreal colour infallible in purple obsession £6.99.
Wet look metalics are also big for eyes this season.
Metalics on nails are key trends Chanel Le Vernis
in Black pearl £17.00
Reds are hot for lips but remember to tone down the
eyes.
Clothing....
Lots of bold , bright colours will be shown off this
spring/summer 2011, with many designers showing off
there looks on catwalks . Mix and match colours together
, oranges, blues, yellows, and deep purples with
many other colours , being of the vibrant rave colour
to runway looks.
Rich colours dont necessarily hve to be mixed you
can wear the one colour from top to toe including
on your shoes, many shoe designers have also gone
for the vibrant colour like Miu Miu where the latest
buckled heel shoe has the mark of a classic brogue
with a twist of the vibrant colour , Christopher
Kane also has gone for the vibrant and futuristic
looking shoe, Dior is sticking with the animal print
but mixing it up with light and dark blues and laced
up ribbons to add that sexy feel.
Many styles to hit the streets will be long flowy
flowery dresses as shown by Paul & Joe, Erdem
and Etro, lots of tassels hanging off the clothes
, bags and shoes with these being of the more tan
colour. Biker chic looks will be very much in short
leather jackets over a pair of jeans or dress , lots
of lushfruity prints giving dresses that retro edge.
Animal prints being more of the animal look look
out for tops with prints with swans, giraffres, and
other animals.
Sunglasses will have bright frameswith exagerated
shapes as endorsed by artists like Lady Gaga .
So looks of the 70s will be very much in this spring
and summer , with the help of new movie Dallas just
round the corner we will all have big hair big colours
big shoes and maybe big collars!.
